Parish Records - Helping you trace your Family History back to the 1500's

Original Parish Records available Online

Transcribing parish records is a mammoth task but with the aid of both volunteers and overseas transcribers a growing number of records are available online.

Currently, the Parish Records are available both on CD and online, and are searchable by surname, forename, date, and the church/parish.

New Parish Records are currently being added online. These will include details of the Groom and the Bride, along with the father of the Groom and of the Bride (where given). It will also list the witnesses of the marriage, the date, and, of course, the Parish where the ceremony was performed. Burial and baptism records will also be added shortly.
